I am participating in an online course taught by Jo Boaler from Stanford University. She posted this surprising statistic that I can't get off my mind. What thoughts do you have about this?
50% of high school graduates that go to college, go to a 2 year college.
70% of THOSE students are put into remedial mathematics classes.
1 out of 9 of those pass those classes.
9/10 drop out of college.
